The deadline for each event will be 3:00 pm the Friday prior to the event. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Tee times will be e-mailed to the address provided to First Tee – Canton during registration. Please keep your e-mail updated so we can provide you with your tee time and pairings. You may also view tee times on our website.  If your tee time is not posted please call First Tee – Canton as soon as possible. Please be at your starting hole 10 minutes before your scheduled tee time. The Tour Director has the right to disqualify the contestant for being late for his/her tee time. No refunds will be granted.

Players should play at a prompt pace throughout the round. Players are both allowed and encouraged to play “ready golf” in a safe and responsible way (Rule 6.4b).  Tournament director has the discretion to handle slower golfers as needed.

There will be no refunds issued for cancellations after the registration deadline. Please check your calendar closely prior to registering for an event.

If a junior does not show for an event after they have registered, they will forfeit their entry fee for that event. Entry fees will not be applied to a future event.

All age brackets will be competing on the same nine holes. If an age bracket has completed nine holes, then the tournament will be deemed complete. The tournament golf professional may invoke a local rule to permit preferred lies in extreme weather conditions and will have the right to cancel due to extreme weather. No dollar refunds will be issued.

Please conduct yourself properly and courteously on the course, in the club house and on the property of the host site. Cheating and not following the USGA rules and etiquette of golf are not permitted. Use of cell phones by players or spectators is not permitted on the course. Any use of bad language or throwing equipment will not be tolerated.  Proper golf attire will be expected.

Play will be governed by the United States Golf Association Rules of golf. If there are any questions on the rules, it can be settled by the tournament golf professional or one of his associates.

In First Tee – Canton Junior Tour all players must carry their own clubs; however, pull carts are permitted. Caddies will be permitted for the 10 to 12 year old division. There will be no motorized carts permitted without a valid doctor’s note.

In case of a tie for 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in the any division, the tie will be broken based on the USGA recommended method for score card play offs according to the USGA Rules of Golf. This includes the points for this event. If possible, a tie for first place will have a playoff.

All prizes will be issued at the completion of each age division. Please do not leave until prizes in your age division are given out.  If a player leaves prior to the completion of the age division, the child could forfeit their trophy and tournament standing for that event.

If a player is concerned or upset by the actions of another player or parent, they must report the problem to the tour professional or one of his associates before he/she signs his/her scorecard and/or before leaving the scoring area. Although we want the parents to continue watching their juniors play, parents cannot get involved with the players.

Spectators may not advise participants on club selection or how to play a shot on the hole, and must remain ½ hole away from all participants and caddies. There will be NO MOTORIZED CARTS issued to any spectator without a valid doctor’s note which must be provided at the registration deadline for the upcoming Monday tournament. Spectators may help look for a lost ball without conversing with the players. First Tee – Canton has the right to deny spectators from watching the tournament. First Tee – Canton Junior Tour is for the benefit of the contestants.

The Top 9 point earners in each age group will play in the Invitational Championship. See the schedule for the date and location. In case a player cannot make the championship the next highest point winner will take his/her place. Points are rewarded for First Place, Second Place, Third Place and participation. If there is a tie for the ninth spot, the lowest scoring average will break the tie. If you withdraw from a tournament, points will not be given for that event.
